The meter is powered by an internal lithium battery. The wire around the engine spark plug wire provides both the tachometer signal and the engine run indicator. The maintenance counter is used to alert maintenance personnel that a period of time has elapsed and that maintenance is required on the engine. Make sure the engine is turned off before changing any settings on the hour meter.

ASSEMBLY:
The meter should be mounted in a convenient place so that it is not exposed to damage in the event of a fall. After installing the meter, wrap the black cable around the high voltage cable 3-5 times, making sure that the cable is wrapped tightly and is not exposed to damage or high temperature. If necessary, you can wrap the cable with insulating tape. If the motorcycle does not have a high voltage cable and the coil is fitted directly to the spark plug, wrap the cable around the coil. If the meter still does not receive pulses, try to find a place on the coil where the wrapped cable starts to receive the signal. The other end of the cable should be inserted into the prepared hole in the meter.
