Assembly instructions:
The meter should be mounted in a convenient place, so that it will not be damaged in the event of a fall. After installing the meter, wrap the black cable around the high voltage cable 3-5 times making sure that the cord is wrapped tightly and is not exposed to damage or high temperatures. If necessary, you can wrap the cable with insulating tape. If the motorcycle does not have a high voltage cable, and the coil is mounted right on the spark plug, wrap the wire around the coil. If the meter still does not receive pulses, try to find a place on the coil where the wrapped cable will start receiving the signal. The other end of the cable should be inserted into the prepared hole in the meter.
Configuration notes:
Press the button on the housing to change the settings:
1. First the selection of the frequency of pulses per one revolution of the motor will appear (1.0 = one pulse per one revolution of the motor, 2.0 = two pulses per revolution or 0.5 = one pulse per two revolutions). Most 2-stroke cross-country bikes require setting 1.0.
2. Then you can set the meter's sensitivity to incoming pulses (Hi = high, Lo = low).
3. Then you can set the refresh rate of the display. T1 means refreshing every 1 second, while T0.5 means refreshing every 0.5 sec.
If you want to set a particular mode, stay on it for about 4 seconds. and the automatic selection will be saved.
